About Us

Who I Am

More than a training plan

My name is Galen McNaughton. I am an aspiring professional triathlete. I have completed two Olympic and three 70.3 triathlons. I just completed Ironman 70.3 Maryland (Eagleman) in 4:39:28. My next race will be my first Ironman 140.6 in Penn Yan, New York on August 17th. I have my USA Triathlon Associate Coaching Certification and my Personal Training Certification through American Council on Exercise (ACE).

I started EnduraLife Athletics to help people achieve their fitness goals. My approach to training and fitness goes against the current trends. It doesn’t have a niche or offer a “lose 20 pounds in two weeks” program. I like to keep it simple: be consistent, be smart, and have fun.

Your health and fitness journey is unique to you, and it can be something you enjoy, even look forward to, each day. Working alongside me, you’ll better understand just how effective the right program can be in getting you—and keeping you—on a path of health and wellness.

BS — Intelligence Analysis

James Madison University

My degree integrated knowledge from philosophy, economics, history, and research methodology. It taught me how to be an analyst: solving complex problems through structured thinking, data interpretation, and creative reasoning. Many of those skills transfer directly to coaching. One class I return to often is causal analysis, which taught me to distinguish the factors that actually drive an outcome from the noise surrounding it. As a coach, I focus on the most relevant variables that will build the bridge between where an athlete is and where they want to go. Life is a chain reaction. Every choice sets the path ahead.

Certified Personal Trainer

American Council on Exercise (ACE)

This certification gave me a strong foundation in understanding the body and its movements, allowing me to provide tailored guidance to each client. My training emphasized best practices for safety and a diverse range of movements suitable for all fitness levels. I believe in working alongside my clients as a guide and partner, ensuring a supportive environment where everyone feels capable and motivated to show up.

Associate Level Triathlon Coach

USA Triathlon

Great coaches helped me achieve many of my own athletic goals, and that experience is why I am dedicated to helping triathletes reach their full potential through expert coaching and personalized training programs. With this certification, I have built a solid foundation across all three disciplines: swim, bike, and run. My training also equipped me with coaching theory and methodology, deepening my understanding of the impact the right coach can have on performance and motivation.
